
Overview
The ISOPPT is an international professional society formed in 2025. The ISOPPT is a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in USA. It represents clinicians, basic science and translational researchers, perfusionists, mechanical engineers, and associated professionals from industry related to organ preservation for transplantation and beyond transplantation (e.g. for study of physiology and oncology, surgical resection of tumors during ex-situ or in-situ perfusion, surgical models, pre-clinical drug testing, bioreactors/ex-situ life-support systems, gene therapy, etc).
Mission
To establish a global society dedicated to advancing organ preservation, repair, and perfusion therapy. To unlock new possibilities in organ rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, and organ-based therapeutics.
Governance
The Society is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors elected by its members. The Board sets the Society’s vision and purpose, establishes its expectations through policies, and sets the strategic plan. There are several committees that assist the board with all society’s activities.
